This film spends time with Adam Render and Lorna Brophy, two very different 8 year olds from Fatima Mansions in Dublin’s south inner city as they prepare for what Adam calls “the day they receive Jesus” – their holy communion day.
An entertaining and insightful glimpse into the lives of these young people, their families and close friends in the run up to the big day. We spend time in their homes, at school, in the church and a variety of other colourful locations capturing a unique and innocent view on this religious tradition which takes place every May.
